In this guide, you will learn how to utilize the Document Manager on the Shipment Details page and explore the unique features available within the modal.
How to access the Document Manager
The Document Manager can be found on the right side of the shipment details page within the documents tab.
Uploading Documents
After opening the modal, you can upload documents from your computer and view both TMS dynamic documents and any other uploaded documents.
When uploading documents, you can manually set the attachment type and set the Access Level to the following:
- Public - The document will be available for all users who view the shipment.(Front and Backoffice)
- Private - The document will be available only to users in the Organization that the document was uploaded. (This does not include Pass Through Organizations)
- Admin - The Document will be available only for users with TMS Admin Access.
If you upload a document with the wrong access level, you can easily switch between levels by clicking on the eye icon next to the document.
Different types of attachments in the Document Manager have their own default Access Levels assigned. For example, Bills of Lading (BOL) are set to Public access, while Carrier Bills are set to Private. You have the flexibility to manually adjust these if necessary.
Selecting documents will enable the option to Print or Download.
Uploaded documents in the document manager can be accessed and included in the send message modal for emailing purposes.

Preview Attachment
If you prefer to preview the document before downloading it, simply click on the paper icon with the magnifying glass. This action will open a new tab displaying a preview of the document without automatically downloading the file.
On the preview page, you can easily view documents with multiple pages. Simply use the arrows at the top to scroll through the pages and explore the content.
You will also have a zoom in and out option for those hard to read documents.
