This tool enables brokers to manage their regions by easily exporting and importing them, facilitating the quick addition or updating of regions.
What is a Region
A Region is a customizable geographic area used to streamline operations, pricing, and carrier management. Regions can be defined based on ZIP codes, states, or other location-based criteria and are utilized in various system functions, such as Broker Carrier Preferred Lanes, Tariffs, and Carrier Rules. This allows users to efficiently manage rates, routing, and carrier preferences within designated areas.
Accessing Region Management
Within the Rates tab, you can access the Region Management page.
Upon accessing the page, you will observe a list of available regions. The results column provides key information, including the names of the regions, the number of tariffs associated with each region, and the count of customer carrier rules that apply to them.
Many of the regions displayed are designated as Master Regions, which cannot be deleted.

- A list of existing regions, with options to modify or delete them.
- Whether the region is designated as a Broker Carrier Preferred Lane.
- Whether the region is associated with a Tariff.
- Whether the region is linked to a Carrier Rule.
Region Delete Logic
If the region is currently utilized in a Tariff profile or linked to a carrier rule, the system will hide the trashcan icon, preventing its deletion.
Once the region is no longer associated with Tariff profiles or carrier rules, the user can delete it.
