Integration Source Setup

The customer can generate the MCP Integration Credentials by logging into their MCP account> looking for Integration tools on the left side> Add Integration> Select  Teknowlogi/Tai Software from the drop-down list. That will take them where they can create a Username and Password.

Additionally, If you want to include contact information from MPC, you will need to go to the next section and make the following questions required:

My carrier packets questions

  • Go to LSP> Integration Source and click on Add New Integration Source.
  • In Source Description, you can add a name for the integration, typically the name of your Company and MCP, so that we can identify it quickly.
  • Source Group: Other
  • Source Type: MyCarrierPortal
  • Owner Org: By Default, your organization's name will be there
  • User name: User name created in the MCP account
  • Password: Password created in the MCP account

  • The last step would be to link the integration with the organization by clicking on the Add Organization Link and selecting the parent account from the drop-down list.

After completing the integration setup, an Initial Sync will occur, which enables the sync of up to five years of carrier data from MyCarrierPortal.

How it Works

A master carrier profile is required within Tai in order for the carrier information to sync from MyCarrierPortal. Our Intellivite process automatically creates the carrier's profile for you. However, you do have the option to manually create a carrier and manually sync it afterward, as explained below. Broker Carrier Profiles will be automatically created when the MC or DOT number matches a Carrier on our Master List and then the Packet Information will be synced if the invitation process was done externally (within MyCarrierPortal). They must also be set to be monitored in MyCarrierPortal.

Intellivite

You can onboard a carrier directly from the LSP Carrier List or Truckload Quoating by emailing a packet invitation.

LSP Carrier Page

On this page, you will locate the option to send a packet invitation in the upper right corner.

Truckload Quoting

The option to email a packet invitation will be accessible exclusively to carriers outside your network.

If you receive a quote from one of these external carriers and choose to proceed with them for your shipment, click the blue pencil icon located on the right to open the "Edit Carrier Quote" modal.

By clicking on "Select for Shipment," you will be prompted to create the LSP Carrier profile. In this modal, you will also find the option to "Email Packet Invitation."

This will launch the MyCarrierPortal Intellivite modal, where the system will present relevant information once you specify the carrier using their Name, SCAC, DOT Number, or MC Number.

Assure Advantage

Prior to sending the packet invitation, the system will present the MyCarrierPortal Risk Assessment status, which includes details on Authority, Insurance, Operations, Safety, MyCarrierProtect, and other relevant information. The status will be categorized as either Acceptable or Unacceptable. If the status is Unacceptable, specific reasons will be provided under the corresponding categories.

Email Packet Invitation

After checking the Assure Advantage details and deciding to proceed with this carrier, you can select the carrier's email and click on "Email Packet Invitation."

Hovering over the checkbox next to the email will provide information about the email type in MyCarrierPortal, indicating whether it is an MCP Identity Confirmed email or an FMCSA email.

Carrier Profile Creation

  • Emailing the packet invitation will automatically create the LSP Carrier Profile. However, it will be in a "Pending" status while we await a response from the carrier with the completed packet from MyCarrierPortal.
  • After the packet has been completed by the carrier, we will import carrier details.

Imported Carrier Details

  • Agreements
  • Factoring Companies (The TMS will check and monitor factoring companies and create them as needed)
  • Carrier Remit To Info
  • Dispatcher Contacts
  • Driver Contacts
  • Preferred Regions
  • Payment Terms
    • If no payment terms are available, it will default to 30 days
    • If QuickPay = True, we'll map to Quick Pay
    • If Days do not equal a value we have available in the dropdown, we'll round it to the closest number in favor of paying sooner. The actual payment terms will be logged in the activity log.
  • W9
  • Insurance Details
  • Insurance Certificates
  • Supported Shipment Types
  • Tax ID
If a carrier already exists, you can still submit an Intellivite. The system will disable the existing carrier, submit the Intellivite, and await the carrier's response.

    Monitoring

Once the LSP Carrier has been set up in the TMS, the integration will begin automatically monitoring for changes with a 4-minute frequency.

    Risk Assessments

The system actively tracks the Risk Assessment status from MyCarrierPortal for each monitored carrier. If a carrier is found on the blocked carrier list in MyCarrierPortal, the system will automatically mark that carrier as blocked within the TMS. Additionally, any carriers that are flagged as blocked in the TMS will also be restricted in MyCarrierPortal, ensuring consistent enforcement of compliance across both platforms.

    Industry Standard

MyCarrierPortal establishes industry standards that serve as a benchmark for evaluating carriers based on various operational metrics, compliance requirements, and risk factors. These standards are designed to ensure that carriers meet specific performance, safety, and reliability thresholds.

Users have the flexibility to deviate from these pre-defined standards and create their own set of rules tailored to their unique business needs. This customization allows users to incorporate additional criteria or modify existing ones based on their operational priorities, risk tolerance, and the specific requirements of their clients.

    On-Demand Sync

Users can initiate a carrier data sync by clicking the "Sync Carrier Data" button. This option is accessible within the LSP carrier's profile, which can be found by navigating to LSP > LSP Carriers and selecting the specific carriers whose data you wish to sync.

Clicking the carrier sync option does not currently take into account the carrier block functionality. As a result, using this feature will enable the carrier's status.

    Insurance Information Sample:

Note: Source Type indicates where the information was pulled from. An entry of "Manual" type means the entry was not synced but rather manually entered.

    Overwrite Setting

This setting will allow flexibility for users who do want information overwritten by MCP when available.

    Name Value: Overwrite True/False

    • When True

      • Information within MCP replaces existing information(Packets, Equipment Types, Insurance) on the Broker Carrier Profile.

    • When False

      • The sync will not update existing information (Packets, Equipment Types, Insurance) on the Broker Carrier Profile.

      • Import of MCP information will only happen once.

      • Manual Imports are also affected by this setting, if clicked the information will not be retrieved.

Depending on the carrier base we are retrieving it is advisable to add this setting after a few days once all of the basic information is retrieved. Adding it from the start might cause some carrier profiles to be incomplete.

    Equipment Type Mapping

Note: Equipment mapping is not one-to-one. We attempt to map the equipment as close as possible based on MCP equipment types.
