Typically, if Volume rates are automatically available from the carrier, meaning no additional setup required, then if the shipment is greater than 5 pallets OR greater than 5000 AND has dimensions entered, then a Volume Quote will appear if it is returned by the carrier. The availability for Volume is dependant on the carrier and whether or not capacity is available. If capacity is not available, typically, the carrier does not send anything back.
Estes - This will rate automatically when the volume criteria are met.
FedEx - From Rates --> Integration Sources, select your FedEx API Integration Source, then review the instructions scroll down to the Volume API Requirements section
Holland - Contact your Sales Rep to ensure that Spot Quote / Volume Rating is active on your account. Contact support for assistance with this. Once active, the volume rating will run when the volume criteria are met.
RoadRunner - This will rate automatically when the volume criteria are met.
SAIA - This will rate automatically when the volume criteria are met.
Southeastern - This will rate automatically when the volume criteria are met.
UPS Density is a type of rating available from UPS that is a special tariff. This would need to be set up with your UPS representative.
