dexFreight is an open logistics network for freight companies to handle shipments from booking to payment in one place using smart contracts.
Activating the Integration
Add a new integration source and select source type Dexfreight. Required fields are the username and password.
Authentication
When the integration is accessed, authentication will occur and store the authentication token as a source setting.
Digital Freight Management (DFM)
The DFM occurs by the user posting the shipment to the dexFreight loadboard from the Truckload Quoting screen. When this occurs, dexFreight begins sourcing available capacity on their end. Carrier offers will post to the Carrier Quotes section of the Truckload Quoting screen as an "Active Quote". When an active quote is received, the Quote Count will increase by the number of available quotes and is displayed on the Truckload Search screen.
Carrier Bookings
When a carrier that is provided by dexFreight is booked through the Truckload Quoting screen, dexFreight will provide the Carrier Confirmation sheet which is in turn delivered to the driver. Once the driver confirms the booking, the shipment is advanced to a "Dispatched" status.
Shipment Tracking
Once the shipment is confirmed through dexFreight, dexFreight will initiate a status update process. We aren't getting location data yet, however, that is coming soon. Tai TMS will receive the following statuses:
- In Transit
- Out for Delivery
- Delivered
Documents
dexFreight will provide a Proof of Delivery (POD) document
