Automatic Shipment Completion Rules

The TMS can automatically update a shipment to Complete when all operational, billing, and accounting steps are finalized. This prevents old shipments from staying open after all financial work is done.

Requirements

1. Shipment is Delivered

A final delivery event must be recorded. If the shipment is not marked Delivered, it will not auto-complete.

2. Customer Invoices are complete

All customer invoices must be one of:

• Paid

• Marked as No Accounting

3. Vendor Bills are complete

All vendor bills must be one of:

• Paid

• Marked as No Accounting

4. Commissions are resolved

All commissions tied to the shipment must be:

• Completed

• Paid

5. Shipment Age Requirement

The shipment’s Created Date must be more than 12 months old.

This ensures that older shipments are automatically closed once they are fully reconciled.
