2022 R2 Release Highlights

Carrier Portal

We are adding the first stages of a Carrier Portal that can be used by carriers to monitor and bid on active quotes, track active shipments and communicate information back to a broker via pages that are easily accessible by a carrier. Username/Password information is not needed so long as they have access to their unique link.

  • Available Quotes
    • The Available Quotes page allows a carrier to see all of the active shipment quotes that have been sent from the TMS. On the truckload quoting page, when a carrier is pinned to the shipment, this will make the shipment details available to the carrier.
  • Active Shipments
    • With the Active Shipments page, carriers can see their active shipments and update the check call page directly from it.
  • Carrier Portal URL
    • To access the Carrier Portal, carriers will need to have their own unique login to the page. The access URL can be obtained from the LSP Carrier Page.

LSP Carriers

LSP Carrier Profile Redesign

The LSP Carrier profile page has been redesigned to provide more relevant information in a way that can be quickly consumed. The detail page along with the modal will share a very similar design.

Carrier History

Carrier Score, Active Shipments, Spot Quotes, Average Revenue, and Average Cost per mile are now displayed in the Carrier History section. The information displayed is based on a 12-month history. The Active Shipments count is indicative of all shipments that are between Booked and Completed. Spot Quotes will show the number of times a quote request was created from the Truckload Quoting page.

Favorited Contacts

Contacts can now be favorited and will be displayed in the Carrier Information section at the top.

Preferred Regions

The Preferred Regions section has been moved to the top and replaced with a new feature that will allow users to pick the specific states that the carrier services. This does away with the old method of using combined states in a zone and allows the user to get more granular with how the carrier is being used. Carriers can be set to indicate whether the state is Inbound, Outbound, or Both. This will allow carriers that are listed on the Truckload Quoting page to be more relevant when "Include Region Carriers" is checked.

Carrier Services

The carrier services section will now list out special services that the carrier supports along with available equipment type(s).

Intracarriers Supported

Added functionality to indicate when a carrier is Intrastate.

LSP Carrier Search

Scorecard

Carrier scorecards are now searchable from the LSP Carrier Search page. To search, select the desired score and the results will be filtered.

Profitability Report

With the profitability report, we've added a new "Min" and "Max" shipment status. This will allow users access to more granular data when running reports and/or extracting data.

Custom Reports

Date Range Constraint

With Custom Reports, we need to create a balance between pulling large amounts of data and server performance. A Created Date & Time field was added as the default date filter to mitigate this. At least one date filter must be on the report. Date ranges will be limited to one year worth of data.

Shipment Stop List

In Custom Reports, we have a section called Additional Stop Information which provides details for Additional Stops. This method eliminates duplication in the report, however, it doesn’t work well for customers who rely heavily on Additional Stops and don’t have a need to eliminate duplicate lines.

To address this, we've added functionality to Custom Reports that will create a unique line for each stop on a shipment.

LSP Carriers Saved at Accounting Level (Parent level)

In an effort to streamline carrier visibility and support, when carriers are added to the TMS, specifically at sub-organization levels, they will be added at the Accounting Level that the sub-organization belongs to. The purpose of this is to ensure that carriers aren't being duplicated and provide the needed visibility at the Accounting Level (aka Parent Level). Additionally, this will streamline vendor syncing data when transmitting relevant information to other integrations such as Quickbooks, Parade, Smart Capacity, etc.

There wouldn't be any changes to user permission settings. Users can add carriers to the TMS as long as they have the Carrier Add/Edit permission.

EDI 990/997 Support for Truckload Shipments

  • On incoming EDI 204s
    • When an EDI is successfully processed AND is a Truckload Shipment generate a 997.
    • Shipment will be created in Quote status
      • An Activity Log entry will be made indicative of the event
  • When a shipment is moved from Quoted to any status other than Canceled
    • TMS will generate a 990 Accept (B1.04 - A)
      • An Activity Log entry will be made indicative of the event
  • When a shipment is moved from Quoted to Canceled
    • Generate a 990 Reject (B1.04 - E)
    • An Activity Log entry will be made indicative of the event

Macropoint POD/BOL Support

We've added support to the Macropoint load tracking integration that will allow for the POD and BOL to be sent to the TMS via the app. Drivers can easily take a picture of the document and transmit it across. Users who want to add the functionality to their integration will need to add the imaging webhook to their account in Macropoint.

Imaging webhook:

TruckerTools LoadTrack Upgrades

We've added support to the TruckerTools LoadTrack integration that will allow for the TMS to retrieve the following document types:

  • "Proof of Delivery" => POD
  • "Bill of Ladings" => BOL
  • "Log" => Document
  • "Scale Receipt" => Document
  • "Trip Sheet" => Document
  • "Proof of Performance" => Document
  • "Photograph" => Document
  • "Other" => Document

Additionally, we've added a new integration source parameter that will allow the broker to communicate the desired contact email when submitting the LoadTrack request.

  • Integration Source Setting
    • contactEmail = desired email

Parade Upgrades

  • We will be utilizing the new Booked Loads endpoint, which will allow Parade to keep track of the Target Buy Rate vs the Actual Buy Rate.
    • Note: We will only ever send one Booked Loads request. Updates after a carrier is added will no longer trigger the calls to Available Loads. However, if a carrier is removed, this will re-trigger a call to Available Loads.
  • Carrier Confirmation sheets will run through the Carrier Confirmation Template rather than the generic text.
  • Accessorials are now being communicated to Parade in the Available Loads endpoint.
  • Changes in the Edit Shipment Stops modal are now being transmitted to Parade

Communication Upgrades

In the last release, we added the ability to set up outgoing email via SMTP mail server settings. With this upgrade, we are adding functionality to connect directly to either Google or Microsoft Exchange email services. For customers using Front, a direct connection is coming soon!

Truckstop Load Posting Upgrades

  • Added Partial Load Mode to Payload
  • Dimensions - Converted to feet.

My Carrier Packets Upgrades

  • Added support for Intrastate carriers
